Benefits of Creative and Process Art

Benefits of Creative and Process Art

We were scheduled to have an art show at our school. However, due to the current circumstances, related to the pandemic, we were unable to have our show. That did not stop us from having a “Virtual Art Show”!  We are passionate about creative art because of its importance, and many benefits creative and process art carries for children and their development.  Listed are some benefits of the creative/process art:

  1. Exercises the right side of your child’s brain and visual skills.

  2. Children learn how to express themselves by transforming their ideas & feelings onto paper.

  3. Builds self-esteem & self-confidence for there is no right or wrong way to create.

  4. Children learn to make decisions and problem solve as they make their own choices for their art piece.

  5. Helps children relieve stress.

  6. Helps your child develop muscle control (fine & gross motor).

  7. Children understand the concept of cause & effect as they mix colors & try new combinations.

  8. Helps develop verbal language as you ask open-ended questions about their art piece.

  9. Helps stretch & grow your child’s thinking & language skills.

There is no right or wrong way to create!
